Have you ever heard of someone living for 70 years without food or water?

Well, your mind is about to be blown.

Indian doctors are studying an 83-year-old holy man who claims to have spent the last seven decades without food and water.



Anyone believes that yet? I sure don’t.

His name is Prahlad Jani and the military is doing experiment on him because of his explosive claims. The hope to find survival strategies for soldiers.

The long-haired and bearded yogi is under 24-hour observation by a team of 30 specialists during three weeks of tests at a hospital in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad.

Two cameras have been set up in his room, while a mobile camera films him when he goes outside, guaranteeing round-the-clock observation. (talk about no privacy )

His body will be scanned and his brain and heart activity measured with electrodes.



"The observation from this study may throw light on human survival without food and water," said Dr. G. Ilavazahagan, who is directing the research. "This may help in working out strategies for survival during natural calamities, extreme stressful conditions and extra-terrestrial explorations like future missions to the Moon and Mars by the human race."

Since the experiment began on April 22, Jani has had no food or water and has not been to the toilet.



"The exercise of taking this yogi under the medical scanner is to understand what energy supports his existence," Ilavazahagan added. "Jani says he meditates to get energy. Our soldiers will not be able to meditate, but we would still like to find out more about the man and his body."

Jani, who dresses in red and wears a nose ring, grew up in Charod village in the Mehsana district in Gujarat.

He claims to have been blessed by a goddess when he was 8-years-old, which has enabled him to survive without sustenance.

WOW that is CRAZY. I cannot go That long without food.

The human body simply cannot go without food for 5 weeks and no water for about 3 days.

I don’t know how he did it but it’s a miracle!

So when world-famous astrophysicist Stephen Hawking warns us of the danger of speaking to space aliens, he's only talking common sense.
Okay so . WHO has heard of Steve Hawking ? ANYONE ?
Well , he's a world famous astrophysicist .
 What is an astrophysicist ?
Its is an astronomer who studies the physical properties of celestial bodies.
 So now , Steve Hawking is warning people that they should NOT` make contact with aliens .

But there are other scientists out there , they want to interact with them . Curiosity naturally comes when there is something new you do not understand yet .

"Hawking is concerned about the possibility of betraying our presence, that, if they were to come here, it might not be good for us," stated Seth Shostak , senior astronomer at the SETI Institute in Mountain View, California ."It's hard for me to believe that they actually have [hostile] intentions on us."

In the four-part series, Hawking implies that most alien life might be simple microbes or animals, but there could also be intelligent ETs that may set their sights on Earth for their own purposes. "I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced ... nomads [would look to] conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach."


"There's so much we know about the universe and there's so much we don't know. That's why it's good there can be vigorous debate, because we simply don't know the answers to many of these questions," Smithson says. ( anyone agrees with this statement ? )

The possibility of life outside of our earthly confines has increased in recent years with the discovery of more than 450 planets in orbit around faraway stars. Also , the claims of seeing UFOs and being abducted over the years has risen tremendously !

Then again , It shouldn't be outrageous to think that there is other life out there . I mean , There are BILLIONS of galaxies and ever galaxy , there are hundreds of millions of stars and suns . The idea isn't very far fetched if you really give it some thought .

Hawking doesn't dismiss the importance of earthlings venturing out into space, Smithson says. "He's a very philosophical guy. I know he is totally for the continuation of space exploration. He believes it's absolutely vital for the human race to keep on exploring our universe."
And yet, Hawking is STILL pessimistic about trying to make friends with an alien species. "If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn't turn out very well for the Native Americans."

Missing girl found after seven days

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. - An 11-year-old girl missing for five days in an alligator-infested Florida swamp was found alive by search crews overnight and carried out Tuesday morning, police announced.

Nadia Bloom, who is thought to have a mild form of autism, was said to be in good shape, but was tired, hungry and covered in mosquito bites.

"They had to carry her out of the water, they had to chop their way out of the bushes" since the swamp was too dense for a helicopter landing, Winter Springs Police Chief Kevin Brunelle told reporters.
"She's got a hell of a story to tell" about her ordeal, he added.

Brunelle praised the crews for having made their way through the swampy terrain that ranged from six feet of water to five feet of mud.
The Metro Church, which is attended by Nadia's family, said one of its members found the child.
Concern for the girl had been growing after police exhausted every possible tip during an all-out search that began last Friday when Nadia disappeared from her Winter Springs neighborhood.
NBC's Orlando station WESH TV said the girl would be taken to South Seminole Hospital for a checkup. Dr. Todd Husty said although she was covered in bug bites, she was not in a life-threatening condition.
'We are ecstatic'
Winter Springs officials had not been soliciting help from volunteers in the search, NBC Orlando said, but the Metro Church member, James King, and others from the church decided to carry out their own search.

"Obviously, we are ecstatic. Unbelievable good news," Church pastor Dan Holland said, according to WESH.

Holland said a search team of about 35 to 40 men worked through the night Monday. He said the searchers prayed, asking God to lead them to Nadia, then walked straight into the swamp and found her, WESH reported.

"The hand of God ...," Holland told the news station. "However someone is found alive, I don't care. We are just ecstatic."

Teresa Brown, director of children's ministry at the church, told msnbc.com that a celebratory dinner was to be held at the church Tuesday, although she was unsure whether Nadia or any family members would be able to attend.

"I know they are going to be invited, but we don't really expect them to be here," Brown said. "I'm just overwhelmed with joy, it's been an absolutely wonderful morning."

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – A union representing Dutch nurses will launch a national campaign on Friday against demands for sexual services by patients who claim it should be part of their standard care. The union, NU’91, is calling the campaign “I Draw The Line Here,” with an advert that features a young woman covering her face with crossed hands.
The union said in a statement on Thursday that the campaign follows a complaint it had received in the last week from a 24-year-old woman who said a 42-year-old disabled man asked her to provide sexual services as part of his care at home. The young woman witnessed some of the man’s other nurses offering him sexual gratification, the union said. When she refused to do the same, he tried to dismiss her on the grounds that she was unfit to provide care.
“This type of action is not part of the job responsibilities of carers and nurses,” NU’91 said. The case has been reported to police, the union added.

Amsterdam needs to get better laws concerning women . They are being taken advantage of , and that not something that should be ignored . AT ALL .
The nurse wasn't unfit to provide care ! She has self respect and pride . Thats something to be admired . Nowadays , you see girls just giving their body away and its sicking .Shes just wasn't going to give her self away to some old man because he said so . Thats not her job , her job is to take help you get better . Hence the term NURSE .

MY OPINION
Well so , I think that michael Jackson's kids have been through enough trama and drama . I mean , they lost ther beloved father and now they have to relive that day all over again in court . That must be terrible . But then again , It is necessary so atleast they can get justice for their father and have some peace of mind . In my opinion , I think the oldest child should testify , and leave the little ones alone . These kids are sooo adorable , I cannot belive such a tragedy has dawned them...
I was watching them at the Grammy awards and they cried for their dad and I'm such a dork I cried with them too . LOL . Oh well...
They were saying such sweet things about him .
