Its a magical fantasy story . It involves true loooveee . The effects in this movie are spectacular ! I never read the book , I only found out there was a book to this amazing movie just moments ago . But I saw the movie , Like a MILLION times . Deff one of my FAVORITE movies ever made . ever .
So , in the movie , there is a boy . His name is Tristran Thorne . His father Dunstan Thorne managed to get past the wall which is heavily guarded and attends the fairy market in a nearby meadow, where he looks for a gift for his sweetheart, Daisy. Atlast he buys a crystal snowdrop, but becomes suddenly infatuated with the slave of the witch who owns the stall and " sleeps " with her that same night. Dunstan marries Daisy the following June. Several months after their wedding, a basket containing an infant boy is left at the wall, along with a piece of paper, on it , it said "Tristran Thorne", who is the faerie slave's son by Dunstan. .Tristran is raised by his step mother and his father . They don't tell him anything at a ll about where he is from and how he came to be .Seventeen years later, Tristran promises to bring the magnificent Victoria Forester a fallen star so he can marry her , and of course she agrees . Tristran too gets past the wall into Faerie to find the fallen star . Soon Tristran discovers that the star is actually human like ! She refuses to accompany him to the wall . But little do they know , there are other people out looking for her too . But the others looking for her want to kill her for their own magical gain . Tristran and the star ( her name is Yvaine ) travel across Faerie and some things happen between him and Yvaine .( you'll have to watch the movie to find out , haha ) So eventually Tristran realizes he doesn't want Victoria at all and he chooses to marry Yvaine . They fell madly in love throughout their journeys together .His heritage, and that of his mother, who is the daughter of the Lord of Stormhold (a Faerie nobleman), are revealed thereafter. Tristran accepts his inheritance as ruler of Stormhold. Yvaine becomes his Queen, and rules the land after his death.
It really is a sweet romantic MAGICAL story .
